    April 9, 2012 by Sean

Nightlife journey inspires the creation of the Heineken concept club.

Here is a cool interactive infographic made in collaboration between Heineken and Insites Consulting, showing the experience, perception and needs of clubbers in their nightlife journey. These insights are the result of a research project with over 100 clubbers and inspired the designers of the Heineken Open Design Explorations Edition 1: The Club to design a progressive pop-up club!

  4. The Evolution of Western Dance Music

Thomson.co.uk (yes Thomson Holidays) have created an interesting interactive infographic on ‘The Evolution of Western Dance Music’. The connection? Music tourism (visiting a city or town to see a gig or festival) is on the rise apparently.

The map shows the time and place where each of the music styles were born and which blend of genres influenced the next.

Hopefully there will be a v2 in the works – would love to see this with interactive elements on each ‘genre’ with ability to listen to seminal tracks that defined them.

Sad to see Nu Skool Breaks never evolved – to be fair though how can one improve on a classic such as PMT – Gyromancer?

Kudos to the Thomson creative / content team.

  5. What to do with your Broken Appliance?

Parts Select created this diagnostic infographic to troubleshoot some of the common problems that affect household appliances.

Clicking on the pulsing dots shows each common issue and the parts required to correct the problem. Many people replace an entire appliance, which is neither cost-effective nor environmentally responsible.

The team behind it also posted an awesome article on developing an interactive infographic.
